The Long Island Angel Award

Calling for Nominations

The Long Island Angel Award has been established in memory of Marilyn Colletta to recognize the everyday angels in our lives. A Smithtown resident for over 30 years, Marilyn's life was cut short when she lost her battle with AML Leukemia in February of 2005. When friends and family share memories of Marilyn, they all express the same sentiments. Marilyn Colletta was a giving and selfless person, a true motivator; she always saw the glass half full. She was the good angel smiling on your shoulder providing comic relief to bring things into perspective. Does this sound like someone you know?

We are currently accepting nominations till January 5th for the second recipient of the Long Island Angel Award, which will be presented at The  Annual Marilyn Colletta Benefit Gala. This could be your neighbor, co-worker, employer, family member, or maybe even your public representative. Most importantly this person is an everyday Angel.  All nominees will be recognized in our event program.
